So out of the blue today Nick’s brother Paul called. Paul is in the Army currently living in Italy. He surprised us and said he’s in AZ right now headed our way here in SoCal and wants to meet up tomorrow. He hasn’t met the baby yet (we haven’t seen him since December of 2001). We are very excited. Since he is in military intelligence it’s very seldom that we get to hear from him let alone see him….so this is the best news. Paul is a great and sweet guy. He always makes an effort to reach us (or track us down with his “powers” 
) no matter where we all are. Many times (from what I understand) we aren’t allowed to know where he is. But it’s been a while since that’s been the case I think. He’s just in the Army, and well it’s his career, so it’s not like he can just fly out to say hi. Nick and I miss him dearly and we are glad we get to see him tomorrow. Dear Lord help me remember my stinking camera! (I forgot it on the 4th of July…and Aidan was so cute too!)

Ok, so I’ve been updating some pages at my website http://www.AidanGrey.com and I’m trying to have a separate page for everything….and well…I realized that’s going to be a lot of pages…so, yah. I’ve decided to blog. Yah, I’m a little late to the blog party, but we’ll call it fashionably late, ok? This is a lot easier to keep up to date when you just post and go instead of organizing all the tables, etc, etc, etc…right now my site has a bunch of ‘info coming soon’ pages, nice. And all my photo links go to Kodak Gallery. Well, I doubt that will change much …
So what’s new? Last week Aidan had to say bye to Ashley (“Ash-uh-lee”)
because she’s moving to Oregon. I grew up torturing Ash … she was my best friend’s little sister…um, so it was required torture. Well now she’s 19 (freaking scary…19!!!) and she’s great with Aidan. And she loved to babysit late so Nick and I could go out to dinner, see a movie and stroll around Borders and still get back and have her say, “back already?” hehe…ahhh 19…my social life began after midnight at 19. Anyway, now she’s GONE and so is our babysitter! Rumor on the street is that her trip got delayed by about a week and she may come back one more time for an encore babysitting gig, but I don’t want to bug her, sure she has lots to do. We’ll miss you Ashley, and all your SoCal adventures…and you making me feel old.
Gonna head out on a walk with the buddy in his cool red wagon!
