I know it doesn’t look a few hours later because I posted the last post recently, but it was a post I was writing snippets of during the morning… anyway…
I finally got to feeling ok enough to leave my house, walk to the car, and when that went ok, I drove to work. Now I’m at work… may the force be with me. 
Ok, so I am at home because I am sick, and frankly I am in a b****y mood over it all, so enjoy my rant 
First, yes, I know I haven’t blogged since the day after Christmas, and I do have some really cool fun “la la” stuff to blog about, really… and that is coming soon I hope (I have a list of stuff to share with my vast readership, haha). But right now is the time for complaining I have decided. I don’t really do it much (honestly) so here goes… I hope I remember how to do this HA!
Anyway, before the Internet thing… explaining the sick thing…
The fam here has been pretty much sick with colds and horrible stuffy noses, allergies, etc for a couple of months… and then two weeks ago it got even better. Nick got the stomach flu, Aidan’s cold/allergies got SO bad he ended up on more medication than I take for allergies. That so does not sit well with me Mr. Doctor. Anyway, we’re seeing a homeopathic doc next week who can clear allergies so we’re keeping our fingers crossed, prayers up, and all that jazz. So missing work has been a hoot, we have no money (each day of missing work w/o pay – cuz we’re at that point w/all the sicknesses – is a big ding in our budget… thank goodness I am such a die hard budgeter), and then I end up w/a severe sinus and ear infection that makes me start throwing up to kingdom come. That was a couple of days ago… now I am on these CRAZY antibiotics that have basically torn my intestinal tract to shreds, so I am working from home (on a quick break right now) so I am not too far from the bathroom, because it’s that bad. I have had 2 saltines and a few teeny bites of applesauce so far today. So thrilling.
Moving on to what finally broke my blog silence enough to share my rant … which I don’t usually use my blog for.
The Internet folks…. it isn’t magic. It doesn’t unite rival companies to make announcements about some weird thing that landed in your inbox. AND (here’s a SHOCKER) Internet Petitions AREN’T REAL!!! hellloooooeewww! Yes, let me forward this list all over the place to different people wasting bandwidth and space on my friend’s computers so some email recipient (@hotmail.com no less) can get the government to stop something from happening that isn’t really even going to HAPPEN! Is Snopes.com really still not mainstream? My friend’s parents use it all the time. I think if someone outside my age group who is still on DIAL-UP w/juno knows about Snopes, then c’mon … let’s have the Gen X’ers get a clue here, k?!
