Sea World Family Photo

I’ll get video and trip highlights up soon. Just haven’t really had a chance to blog much and my left eye is being funky; I hope I don’t have another hemorrage but I have a stupid spot that won’t go away these past few days. Anyway, here’s the pic. :)

I will post about our trip to Sea World along with some photos tomorrow…

The sad news is about a boy who lived upstairs from us in our complex. Please please please pray for his family. I saw an RIP David message in the family parking space Wednesday and wondered what happened. Then tons of people started visiting upstairs from Wednesday on. There are still people there now.

I looked on the OC Register website to see if I could find out what happened. I found this article and just cried for this poor grieving family. The family is actually facing financial hardship due to the funeral expenses so the article gives info on how to donate if you can. I know that no one reading this blog knows this family, but that doesn’t really matter all the time. I don’t really know them except that they would ride their skateboards a lot and David and his brothers say hi to Aidan. Aidan gets really excited when he sees them riding around.

Anyhow, it’s just sad, and I feel so weird knowing how much pain everyone upstairs from us is in. If anyone who knew David reads this my heart goes out to you and you are in our family prayers.

Once all the visitors subside I will see if there is a moment I can subtly see if I can offer any help making a meal or two for them or something like that.

UPDATE: I just got a chance to speak with David’s father. He actually came to say hi to me and apologize for all the noise upstairs as they move stuff around. Of course I told him not to even give it a second thought. They are moving to an apartment across the complex, so I am glad they will still be in the community. He is a very nice man and I offered any help I could to him and their family. Please again, if you are a praying person, pray for them… this is so hard for them. I hope the new apartment allows them a bit of a fresh start. God love this family and help David’s brothers to stick together to get through all of this. Thanks to everyone who reads this and sends up a prayer.

Ok, first the weird.

I guess it’s not really “weird” but it’s not good and not “bad”. So I guess it’s indifferent-ish? Anyway, my OB said no dice with going back to work. I have to wait until after the baby comes. It stinks a bit. There is stuff that is not getting done at all. Like 2 of the work blogs… the corporate one is dying a slow death and our Marketing Tip one hasn’t been updated since I left. Oh well for subscribers and all the ideas I had, let alone money we (the company) could have made. Blah. But “I’m not supposed to worry about it”… blah blah blah…. maybe I’m not “worried” but I sure care. Blah again. And blah again for good measure.

Ok, now the first YAY!

My ultrasound is scheduled for December 7th. So I’ll be almost 23 weeks at that point. Until that point I can still be considered “normal pregnancy” for ultrasound purposes. I can’t wait to find out what we’re having! This yay comes with a “fun” part….

Around 28 weeks I get to begin my 2-3 times a week Fetal Monitoring. Hip Hip Hoorayyyy. LOL NOT. It’s kind of cool I guess because I get to see the baby once a week and hear the baby 2-3 times a week. For this I have to go to the hospital and have the baby movements monitored for an hour. One of the appts per week includes an ultrasound where they check on the baby, the growth, and the amniotic fluid levels. I will officially be a science project, hehe.

So that makes my schedule 1 endocrinology appt per week, 2 – 3 fetal monitoring appts per week, and then when I see my OB that adds another appt. My OB is once every 4 weeks, but after I start fetal monitoring it’s once every 2 weeks, and then after 34 weeks I think it’s once a week. So don’t get me wrong…. I still have a full time job, lol… it just involves more travel than before ;) Oh how I love that 20 – 25 min drive. :)

One more thing, my OB said it’s cool to walk around more than I have been I’m doing ok to do that now. PHEW… now I can not be winded walking a teeeny bit because I’ll walk more.

Ok, now the next YAY!

Nick and I haven’t been anywhere in forever. And we’ve never really gotten to take Aidan anywhere either – like a mini vacation or anything. Soo…. Nick called me and said, hey, you wanna do something this weekend? I can get discount tickets for lots of stuff at work. And I was like HECK YES!

So, we are going to San Diego tomorrow to go to Sea World. The tickets are for 2 days, so we are staying in a hotel that has cool kid suites so Aidan will have a kid space with a TV and video games (um… I think Nick and I might use those ourselves – it’s PS2) and bunk beds. And we get a Queen bed in our own private room. I checked the pics out and it’s more like a dividing wall, so it’s not technically “private” like they say, but it is perfect for us. We also get free parking, and a free kids movie in the kids area room.

I am very excited to go, and Aidan loved the Long Beach Aquarium SO much that I know Sea World is just going to blow him away.

So YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Doctor Day

So today is full of doctor fun, hehe.

I have a 9:30 with my OB and a 10:30 with my endocrinologist. Should be thrilling ;)

I am a little nervous about what my OB will decide about me going back to work. For all I know I could be back this Monday, or she could go with her original assesment and have me out the whole time.

I just want what’s best for the baby so I’ll do whatever she says.

I took some cute pics of Aidan in his new Thomas PJ’s … I will try and post them later.

Doctor Bummer

I had an appointment to see my OB today and we were going to schedule my ultrasound, but she’s sick today, so I’m rescheduled for Thursday. Not that it’s so far away, I’ve just been looking forward to it. And I know when the OB orders the ultrasound it will be a couple of weeks before I get in to actually have one.

It’s all good though, now I don’t have to go down to that area twice in one week… both my Endocrinologist and OB appts are now on Thurs.

Hope everyone is having a great day. :)

Halloween Photos

Aidan was a pirate this year and had lots of fun playing around in his costume.

As usual, we went to Nick’s parents’ church so they could see him in his costume and hang out with him.

Here’s his funny John Travolta move shot… have no clue where he got that from… kids are so funny! :)

Little alien…

For the last week I have felt little swimmies from the little baby. But just now the baby started kicking me :) Just kicked again a few more times as I wrote that… must know I am talking about him or her, hehe.

Still I am a sickie, but for right now I can breathe ok. The big problem is at night… it progressively gets worse. Even with Benedryl (more to knock me out than anything) I have not slept in at least 4 days. I just kind of meander from bed to couch so as to not annoy the hubby too much with my nose blowing, squirming, and so on. Ahh insomnia….

Off to ignore my computer; I have been on it too much today.

Yay for the little alien swimmies and kicks.
