Best Twilight Soundtrack Review
Are you a Twilight Saga fan? Of course you are, others need not apply
The Twilight movie comes out on Nov 21st and I will be seeing it at 12:01 AM on that date with a group of awesome friends.
Along with any monumental movie comes an equally anticipated soundtrack. This is no exception. The Twilight soundtrack is already #1 and the movie isn’t even out yet.
One of my friends, Mike, has a great blog, Musings for a Darkened Room. You can always check it out on the right sidebar of my blog any time. Mike did the best Twilight soundtrack review I have seen. It is a detailed review of each song selection, why it is or is not a fit for the movie, and other great insights about the music for Twilight. The best part is that he goes into detail about how each song relates specifically to the book.
If you ever want to learn a little bit more about the music you’re listening to, or find out about the GREAT music you are missing, Mike is the go-to guy. Check him out on Mixwit – I’ve learned a thing or two about some fantastic songs that I wonder how I ever lived without from Mike.

3 Weeks From Today
I will be a mama again. Little Scarlet will be here soon!
I am excited and a little scared (surgery and all that) but I know God is with me and we’ll all be ok. I have all my doc appts scheduled until then and even my 6 week followup with the endocrinologist. Yes I have to have a 6 week after with my OB and the diabetes doc.
Not too much longer to go.
Today we are getting our carpets cleaned (YAYAYAY). Our house looks so clean with everything out of the way, especially all the toys being shoved in Aidan’s closet in his little crates, hehe. Can we just keep it this way?
I’ll be at fetal monitoring, then hanging out at Nick’s parents’ house to give the carpet time to dry. It should be a good day I hope. Yesterday was sort of ugh. Mostly because I just felt that way emotionally… I guess nothing really “happened” but that’s life sometimes right?
Hope y’all have a good day.
And hi to Kristi – it’s 3 weeks (well 2 weeks and 5 days) left for you too till your due date — I am so excited for you!!!

Cassie’s little baby!
So I headed to the hospital at about 7:20 last night. I got there about 7:40 and chilled out in the room and helped get ice chips (along with everyone else hehe) and just hung out with Cassie and her family until it was time to start pushing.
Then I was in charge of taking the video (during labor you can only get the sound, not allowed to take actual video). So I just video taped the curtains and floor until the baby came out. Cassie did SO good. She pushed great, she was really strong!! I am SO proud of her! She pushed for just under 45 min or so.
Iain Christopher was born…
9/20/2007
9:47 PM
7 lbs 5.5 oz
19 1/2 inches
Right in front of me and it was beautiful. This is the second time I have been able to be with a friend during labor and birth and it was so neat to share that experience. Their little baby is SO perfect. Even Cassie said, “He’s not ugly and wrinkly, his skin is so perfect and cute” … and she’s right. I don’t think I have ever seen a baby with such pretty skin and not be all shriveled. He’ll be a lady killer one day I am sure – I think it’s in his blood (haha to the daddy).
Here are 2 pics – one of Chris, Cassie, and the baby, and one of me and Cassie when I got to the hospital. This baby will have no lack of photos having two pro photogs as parents!!!

More Due Date Bingo and Babies Babies Everywhere!
Ok, first off, I feel soooo sick right now. I had a bunch of doctor appts today and have been poked and prodded and so I am sitting here with my crackers and typing this to keep my mind going and to fill you in on all the neat stuff.
Anyhooooo…
I am not (as I suspected) 14 weeks along (as of today) like my OB thought. So my due date is not likely March 21st. I had an ultrasound today and the tech says more like 11 weeks 3 days which puts me at about April 8th. Now the tech said it’s plus or minus 10 days, but to ignore the minus because it’s so unlikely. She said I could go with my original thought of April 2nd, especially since I won’t go 40 weeks (being a diabetic / c-section and all). But I will go with the April 8th thing so as time goes I know I am not rushing anywhere.
Of course, this is until another ultrasound in about 10 weeks where we check on the development, learn the sex of the baby and all that jazz. Then she said it will be very clear and my OB can adjust the date more then. Until then my OB will use either the 2nd or 8th most likely.
Ok, the babies babies everywhere part….
My friend Cassie is in labor. I got the call on the way home from the ultrasound. They are naming their baby after her hubby’s uncle (Iain) who passed away a couple years ago. Iian and Chris (Cassie’s hubby) were very close. We are hoping the labor is the real deal and the baby comes today because as it happens, today would have been his uncle Iain’s birthday. That would just be the best ever.
Good luck Cassie I love ya!!!!

Family, Friends, Baby Puke, and Pneumonia…sigh…
Ok, so it’s been a while, so sue me! hehe…
General updates…
Ashley decided *not* to move to Oregon so we still have our rockin’ babysitter! Woo hoo! Plus Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Don love having Aidan over to their house…and of course Aidan loves playing with Jake the dog. Now if we could only get Aidan to stop calling Muffy the cat “dog”, hehe
Ok, and I won’t lie I am fond of the fact that grandparents babysit for FREE … and that’s just wonderful!
Ok, about Paul and his visit…it was so wonderful. We got to see him twice. The Sunday he was here we all gathered at his grandparents’ house (from his mother’s side) and had a great dinner. We also got to meet his daughter Haley. Paul just recently (within the last year) found out he had a daughter and he is the cutest dad!! And what about Haley? Well she is SOOOO much like Nick and Paul…it’s weird, just weird, and great. I can’t believe that even though they’ve not been around each other how much they are all alike. Haley mostly reminds me of Nick’s younger sister Sarah. So smart and always ready with something witty to say.
Other updates…
We just got done with 2 and a half weeks of Aidan being sick… he started at night on August 1st with a 102 fever…so we kept him home on the 2nd. Then that evening and on the morning of the 3rd the fever was gone (so we thought) and we sent him off to daycare on the 3rd (Thursday). Well, I got a phone call that his temp rose while he was taking a nap to 103! So I made a doctor appointment and went to pick up the baby. As I picked him up, he threw up ALLL over me…my shoes, my legs, my shirt, my hair…ev-er-y-thing! This was on the porch at Pam’s house (Pam is our SUPER AWESOME in-home daycare provider). Pam got me cleaned up and Aidan and I set out to the doctor. Well, he had the stomach flu, so we got our liquids only instructions and bought our pedialyte and headed home. Then, he stayed home Friday the 4th. Saturday morning/afternoon-ish he seemed much better, fever gone, no throwing up, phew. So we gradually introduced more than pedialyte…something tells me milk shouldn’t have been on that little list…hmmmm. Anyway, after that mishap we were back on track. But then he seemed to have a bit of a stuffy nose…but nothing to “write home about” so we didn’t pay much attention to it. Then Sunday morning, he’d been GREAT, no stuffy nose, no fever, no throwing up, all good. So off to church we went….
Then Sunday evening (the 6th) the stuffy nose came back with a vengence. And then Monday it was horrid…well no daycare and back to the doctor we went. Well Nick and Aidan went. So I’m thinking no big deal, he’ll need a prescription maybe and all’s well. Not so fast…my work phone rings and it says it’s from St Jude Hospital….what?! It’s Nick calling me from the emergency respritory section telling me Aidan has pneumonia and has to get an emergency chest x-ray. Well don’t we just love that word “emergency”? Strikes fear into the heart doesn’t it. Well in typical mommy form I start firing a thousand questions at my poor husband and then I start crying. Poor guy, he just needed me to fax my insurance card to the hospital. Got that all done and tried to move on with the work day…Nick had it covered.
So then antibotics…
Then 2 days later on Wednesday the 9th we had to do a follow up appointment with the doctor. Aidan was getting worse…he needed Albuterol (basically asthma medicine). So we do that. Oh and at the doctor I was the recipient of a diaper blow out….once again ALL over me. I’m so lucky! Don’t you just love the side effects of antibiotics?
Well it went up and down like a roller coaster until Sunday morning. (Thankfully grandma and grandpa took Aidan Sat evening to give us a break…bless them bless them!!). Then light broke through the clouds and Aidan was able to go to daycare on Monday.
We just got back from our 2 week follow up today and Aidan is doing well, can cut down his Albuterol to once a day instead of 3 times a day, and he can take his last dose of antibiotics tonight!
WOO HOO! And so that saga comes to a close.
Um more in a minute…I have to turn the chicken in the oven….

My first post
Ok, so I’ve been updating some pages at my website http://www.AidanGrey.com and I’m trying to have a separate page for everything….and well…I realized that’s going to be a lot of pages…so, yah. I’ve decided to blog. Yah, I’m a little late to the blog party, but we’ll call it fashionably late, ok? This is a lot easier to keep up to date when you just post and go instead of organizing all the tables, etc, etc, etc…right now my site has a bunch of ‘info coming soon’ pages, nice. And all my photo links go to Kodak Gallery. Well, I doubt that will change much …
So what’s new? Last week Aidan had to say bye to Ashley (“Ash-uh-lee”)
because she’s moving to Oregon. I grew up torturing Ash … she was my best friend’s little sister…um, so it was required torture. Well now she’s 19 (freaking scary…19!!!) and she’s great with Aidan. And she loved to babysit late so Nick and I could go out to dinner, see a movie and stroll around Borders and still get back and have her say, “back already?” hehe…ahhh 19…my social life began after midnight at 19. Anyway, now she’s GONE and so is our babysitter! Rumor on the street is that her trip got delayed by about a week and she may come back one more time for an encore babysitting gig, but I don’t want to bug her, sure she has lots to do. We’ll miss you Ashley, and all your SoCal adventures…and you making me feel old.
Gonna head out on a walk with the buddy in his cool red wagon!
