Once again we had a photo shoot with our friends’ company – they are great on-location photographers in Orange County. This time we did our family pics. We went to a park by our house in the dusk/twilight time. It was super hot even still at that time of day, sheesh!

Yes Scarlet is now over a month old! Can you believe it? The time goes by so fast. I go back to work 2 weeks from Monday. Whew… all exciting!
Anyway, It Takes Two Photo and Design took Scarlet’s one month pics yesterday. And we’re doing family photos today. Nick is getting photos done for his music stuff too (next week). It’s nice having pro photographers as friends 
Plus we usually get to be testers of a lot of their new equipment, backdrops, etc… so it’s fun. And they do graphic design too so we can get some really artistic stuff.

We’re home, not a lot of time to post all the details, but birth story and after story are coming soon. For now, here are all the pics we took.
Nick’s birthday was Friday (the 14th). The team at his work is so awesome – they took him to lunch and decorated his cubicle and gave him 2 Visa Gift Cards. They all pitched in and gave him $125!!! That was soooo nice of them! He was able to get some software he’s been wanting but had been putting off for obvious reasons – baby expenses, lol. I told him this is his money and he better just spend it on something he wants. The man deserves birthday presents, ya know?! He even has a little left over, and the software also has a rebate that we mailed off, so it’s extra cool.

We played lots of Guitar Hero and some old school Street Fighter (we have the original ones and Super NES ones on a PS2 disc) and some Virtua Fighter. Games like that are always more fun when there’s a bunch of people playing and trash talking, er I mean watching

We have Guitar Hero 2 and 3 (not sure why we don’t have 1). Nick got 2 controllers so that people could play when they come over and so Aidan could eventually play.
Today has been a rough 2 year old day and last night was a rough 2 year old night. So poor Aidan has sat himself in the naughty spot a lot in the last 48 hours. Of course, whether he’s being naughty or whatever, the struggle wears a kid down and ya just need to cut em a break. So tonight Nick said “if you’re good we can play ‘Guitar Players’” (Aidan calls GH “Guitar Players” … so cute). Well you’ve never seen a kid be SO good SO fast! He cleaned up his room and layed down to get his diaper changed and PJ’s on. As soon as those PJ’s were on he ran to the living room to get ready to play.
Nick got it all set up and Aidan was so cute trying to play. Nick put it on Pro Face Off mode so that they wouldn’t fail the song because Aidan was just pushing buttons. He had a shorter attention span for actually holding the guitar and doing it, but I got some great pics while he was all into it. This one is my favorite….
